LOS ANGELES (December 3, 2012) — As Trinity Broadcasting Network gears up to celebrate 40 years of quality Christian television, the world’s largest faith-and-family broadcaster is highlighting the impacting global reach of its 18-member Trinity Broadcasting Family of Networks. “We are more than a little excited about how far God has taken this network in the past four decades,” said TBN Vice President Matt Crouch. “What began in 1973 as one low-power station broadcasting a couple of hours a night God has allowed to grow into eighteen distinct networks in the U.S. and around the world, each broadcasting dynamic inspirational, educational, and entertaining programming for every member of the family 24 hours every day.”
Of course, TBN’s foundational network continues to be its TBN Flagship channel, America’s most watched faith network and the trusted Christian source for tens of millions of viewers around the world. “For many years our flagship TBN channel has comforted, inspired, and nurtured individuals and families the world over,” said Matt Crouch. “And it continues to be our most requested network.”
In addition, TBN has extended its domestic and global reach through the launch of such focused networks as the Church Channel, featuring 24-7 church and ministry programs from the world’s top pastors and Christian speakers; Smile of a Child, a 24-hour network for children of all ages; JCTV, a round-the-clock youth and young adult channel featuring music, talk, extreme sports, and other engaging shows; Enlace, offering the best of faith programming from Latin America and the U.S., all in Spanish; and Enlace Juvenil, featuring music videos and programming for Hispanic youth.
At the international level, TBN has exploded over the past several years, with a total of 12 network affiliates now broadcasting Christian television 24 hours a day in literally every region of the world: Those 12 networks are:
– TBN Nejat, reaching Persian viewers in Iran, the Middle East, Europe, and the U.S.
– The Healing Channel, for Arab-language viewers in the Middle East and beyond.
– TBN Asia, reaching many Asian people groups.
– Light TV, broadcasting throughout the Philippines.
TBN founder and President Dr. Paul Crouch said that in the coming years he expects several more channels to join TBN’s family of networks. “Each station that comes on the air is one more voice and light thundering the gospel message to the lost,” he said. “That, of course, is our one and only goal — to send out the good news of Jesus Christ to every corner of the earth until He returns.”
