(November 1, 2006) -– On November 4, By the Tree will be the guest recording artists on the syndicated hit comedy show, The Logan Show airing on TBN’s music youth network JCTV. By the Tree will be performing their new hit song, “Beautiful One.”
By the Tree began playing a series of small venues throughout the southern and western United States. Creating a sizable fan base, By the Tree broke out on tour big time in 1999 when two independent CDs were released. By 2001, these CDs sprung By the Tree into Gospel Music industry’s inner corridors.
Fervent Records, a subsidiary of BMG Music Publishing Company, released four of the band’s CDs. “Invade My Soul” popularized the group in major circles when released as a national American commercial recording. The album charted in the Billboard Top 40 in the Contemporary Christian and Independent categories.
Winning two Dove Awards, the album secured By the Tree. The album walked away with the Best Modern Rock/Alternative Album. It’s title track won Best Recorded Song
Launched in 2002, JCTV features 24 hours of faith-based programming that includes reality shows, music videos, game shows, talk shows relevant to youth, comedy, extreme sports, and more.
“JCTV offers a 24-hour mix of high-energy Christian music videos, extreme sports shows, and faith-based comedy and entertainment programs that pull in viewers from all over the world,” said Mark McCallie the network’s vice president of programming. “The Logan Show continues to be a favorite among JCTV viewers,” notes McCallie. “The Logan show is a late-night thrill ride,” explained McCallie, “a one-hour, fast-paced show, featuring hilarious comedy sketches, dynamic music, live performances, and exclusive interviews with today’s hottest Christian artists.”
“Clean comedy has never been hipper and the laughs more gut-wrenching than the skits, bits, and guffaws emanating from the Logan Show airing on JCTV,” says faith and values media expert Susan Zahn of WDC Media. It’s all the zany memories millions of American youth have of family, friends, church, music and high school, packaged into a half-hour variety venue of stand-up comedy, slap-stick skits, outtakes and music,” says Zahn.
Paul Crouch, Jr., Vice President of Administration at TBN notes, “There’s a massive youth audience out there that readily aligns itself with innovative faith-based programming. They applaud it. They return to it. They tell their friends about it. JCTV is armed with the ability, talent, and technology to do just that — create it, and then deliver it to viewers in mass.”
Adds Crouch “With so much objectionable programming on TV right now, there are a lot of moms and dads who are grateful for the faith-based alternative we’re offering,” Crouch said.
Catch Logan and the rest of the cast on JCTV, Fridays at 10:00 p.m. PST.
