(1-22-07) Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), the world’s largest religious network and America’s most watched faith channel, announced that popular Christian author and commentator Hal Lindsey is returning to TBN with an all new current events program, “The Hal Lindsey Report.”
Lindsey, author of the runaway bestseller “The Late, Great Planet Earth, hosted “The International Intelligence Briefing” on TBN for over 12 years, and like that popular series the new weekly half-hour news and commentary program will cover current events, national, and international issues from a biblical and prophecy-based perspective.
“We are pleased to welcome Hal Lindsey back to TBN’s lineup of award-winning programming,” said Paul Crouch, Jr., Vice president of Administration at TBN. “Hal has partnered with this network since its early days, and his inspirational and though-provoking programs have consistently been among the most popular with viewers.”
Lindsey said that the new partnership with TBN would add an estimated 100 million homes in the U.S. alone to the potential audience for “The Hal Lindsey Report.” He added that like his previous efforts, “The Hal Lindsey Report” would be a hard-hitting, informative, and inspirational ministry program. “I guarantee you that the Holy Spirit will have world news relevant to End Time Bible prophecy and Christian concerns,” he said.
Susan Zahn, an expert in faith-based broadcasting, noted that with the Middle East a focal point in the news, viewers of religious broadcasting are increasingly interested in programs that bring fresh perspective from the Bible about that part of the world. “Hal Lindsey has always brought balanced coverage and fresh biblical perspective to current events – especially those in the Middle East,” said Zahn. “His new program will be no exception. We’re all very excited.”
“The Hal Lindsey Report” airs on TBN every Friday from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. (PST).
