(June 17, 2013) — It is one of America’s most unique, family-friendly vacation destinations, and this summer Orlando, Florida’s Holy Land Experience is pulling out the stops to give visitors of all ages an experience that will last a lifetime. A project of the Trinity Broadcasting Network, America’s most watched and requested faith and family television network, the Holy Land Experience transports guests back thousands of years to experience first-hand the sights, sounds, historical time frame — and impacting truths — of the Bible and First Century Jerusalem.

“Visiting Israel, Jerusalem, and the Holy Land is a lifetime dream of so many individuals,” said Mike Everett, general manager of the Holy Land Experience. “But time, finances, and other considerations prevent many folks from making the trip. We’ve created the beautiful Holy Land Experience to give individuals and families an affordable opportunity to experience the miracle of the Holy Land right here at home. And there’s no better time than this summer to be our guests.”

From the moment guests enter the park’s rich panorama of landscape, architecture, and living scenes, they are immersed in a convincing depiction of ancient Jerusalem and Israel. Every exhibit, live program, and dramatization brings visitors face-to-face with the characters, customs, and relevance of Old and New Testament Scripture.

Among the vibrant displays that make the Bible come to life are:

– The City Gate stone arch, modeled after the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem, which leads to the Middle Eastern-themed Jerusalem marketplace complete with an authentic city well.

– The Dead Sea Qumran Caves, a re-creation of the mysterious place where many ancient Bible manuscripts were discovered. The caves contain a replica of the Upper Room in Jerusalem, where guests can participate in a Last Supper Communion with Jesus and His disciples.

– The Wilderness Tabernacle, the heart of worship for the children of Israel after their exodus from Egypt. In this awe-inspiring exhibit the “High Priest” takes guests on a journey through Israel’s ancient priesthood, culminating with a breathtaking depiction of God’s glory revealed above the Ark of the Covenant.

– The Great Temple, the holy place held in highest reverence among the Jewish people. This is a truly breathtaking representation of the temple that once stood on hallowed Mount Moriah in First Century Jerusalem.

– Calvary’s Garden Tomb, a convincing representation of the sacred place where Jesus was laid after His crucifixion — and from which He was gloriously resurrected after three days.

One of the favorite displays of guests at the Holy Land Experience is the world-renowned Scriptorium. A combination museum, library, and research center, the Scriptorium holds a collection of priceless manuscripts, scrolls, biblical antiquities, and artifacts that draws many students and scholars. The enlightening presentations that accompany the exhibits offer visitors a close-up view of biblical and church history.

Among the newest additions to the Holy Land Experience is the state-of-the-art, 2,000 seat Church of All Nations, where guests will experience life-impacting worship, along with dramatic presentations like Behold the Lamb, the powerful reenactment of the passion and crucifixion of Jesus, and We Shall Behold Him, the glorious depiction of His resurrection and ascension to heaven. They might even participate in a live broadcast of TBN’s award-winning signature program Praise the Lord.

There is also the exquisite Christus Gardens, that features a rare and beautiful art collection of antique figures depicting the life of Christ. A number of guests have testified to miraculous healings as they basked in the quiet solitude of the garden.

And don’t forget the Smile of a Child Adventure Land, where kids can burn up energy on the totally safe rock-climbing walls and bouncy houses, have their faces painted, and join in kid-style worship and fun!

These and many other features at Holy Land Experience make it a life-changing destination for the many individuals, families, and church groups who visit every year. One recent guest from Virginia called Holy Land Experience “the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen!” Another called her visit “an experience that could not be expressed by words.” A guest from New York called the Holy Land Experience a “powerful and awesome tool to inspire, convict, and educate.” And a group all the way from Malaysia commented: “We feel like we entered a glimpse of heaven, and it made us feel closer to Him.”

Each year Florida’s beaches, theme parks, and other vacation destinations draw an estimated 75 million people, but no where throughout Florida — or across America — is there anything like the one-of-a-kind wonder that visitors will experience at the Holy Land Experience. Earlier this year the park won About.com’s coveted Reader’s Choice Award for the nation’s best theme park holiday event — one of the many recognitions the Holy Land Experience has received over the years.

Mike Everett said that he and the rest of the park’s team are anticipating a life-changing time for the many thousands of guests who will visit the Holy Land Experience over the next several months. “Seeing lives changed and people inspired is why we exist,” he said, “and we’re excited to see how God moves.”

“It’s no secret that the family today is under unprecedented attack, and the job of a father is more challenging than ever,” said TBN founder and President Dr. Paul Crouch. “But I know that God is present to equip each dad for this divinely commissioned responsibility. And at TBN we’re here to encourage and stand with fathers.”

TBN’s Father’s Day weekend lineup, June 15 and 16, includes some great movies and specials that will entertain, inspire, and challenge dads of all ages:

– A Letter to Dad. This powerful film tells the story of a young man preparing to marry and start his own family, but who must first face the anger he has held toward the father who abandoned him as a young child. The moving conclusion reinforces the truth that faith in God and a choice to love can overcome a lifetime of pain and disappointments. Airs June 15 and 16 (check here for broadcast times).

– A Father’s Heart. Hosted by noted sportscaster James Brown, this inspirational special features celebrities from the world of sports as they reflect on their fathers and the experience of fatherhood. Includes appearances by Hall of Fame NFL quarterback Bob Griese, NBA great A.C. Green, NASCAR’s Buckshot Jones, and PGA golfer Doug Tewell. Airs June 15 and 16 (click here for broadcast times).

– Pendragon: Sword Of His Father. In 411 A.D., Artos, the son of a British chieftain, is captured and enslaved by Saxon Marauders who destroy his village and kill his people. Beaten down under the oppression of his heartless masters, Artos somehow finds the strength to flee and make his way to a British stronghold in the Welsh mountains. Along the way God strengthens Artos’ faith and gives him an understanding of his duty as a man to join in God’s sovereign plan. Instilled with God’s confidence, the young man joins the warriors that British ruler Ambrosius is preparing for the daunting task of halting the Saxon invasion. An impacting film that re-enforces the important values of faith, responsibility, and courage in a man’s life. Airs June 15 (click here for broadcast times).

– The Passion of the Christ. A dramatic and heart-rending depiction of the heavenly Father’s ultimate gift to humanity, The Passion follows Jesus through the final hours before His death, from His agonizing intercession in the Garden of Gethsemane and savage scourging at the hands of the Romans, to the final moments of His brutal crucifixion. Airs June 16 (click here for broadcast time).

TBN Vice President Matt Crouch noted that fathers today need the guidance and help of the heavenly Father to successfully complete the job to which He has called them. “Our prayers go out to dads this weekend, that God will empower them to represent His heart of love and mercy to their families and communities.”

LOS ANGELES (June 3, 2013) — Trinity Broadcasting Network, America’s premier Christian broadcaster, announced that several programs airing on TBN’s Smile of a Child kid’s channel and the JCTV youth channel have been nominated for coveted Crown Awards, presented annually by International Christian Visual Media (ICVM). Each year ICVM, an organization of Christian visual media professionals, presents the Crown Awards to recognize the best in films and videos that reflect Christian values to a secular world.

Two popular Smile of a Child shows have been nominated for this year’s Crown honors: iShine KNECT in the categories for Best Youth Film, Best Comedy, Best Television Format, and Best Series; and Mary Rice Hopkins & Puppets with a Heart in the categories for Best Series and Best Children’s Film. “Having our programs highlighted in the Crown Award venue is a special honor,” said Brenda Rossman, Smile of a Child’s program director. “It re-enforces our commitment to create shows that give children a foundation for a life of faith in God.”

Meanwhile, three JCTV youth network programs have been nominated for Crown Awards: Cruise With a Cause 4 and The 40/40: A Wilderness Adventure for Television Format and Best Series; and the long-running youth talk program Top 3 for Best Television Format. “These three JCTV programs highlight our dedication to producing the kinds of content that can make a difference in the lives of young people,” said Mark McCallie, program director for JCTV. “We’re thrilled to have our shows considered for Crown Awards.”

TBN Vice President Matthew Crouch noted that for the past forty years TBN has been committed to producing and airing programming that impacts individuals, families, and communities. “From weekly shows and specials to full-length feature films, TBN has been a leader in quality Christian programming since 1973,” Mr. Crouch said. “It is a distinct honor to have some of our most popular shows recognized for ICVM’s prestigious Crown Award.”

The Crown Awards presentation ceremony will be held June 21 during ICVM’s international conference in St. Louis.

On the occasion, TBN founder and President, Dr. Paul Crouch, offered the following reflection on the spiritual state of the world forty years ago and today.

* * *

When Trinity Broadcasting Network first signed on the air May 28, 1973, on a tiny, barely functioning low-power station we had recently acquired in Southern California, my wife, Jan, and I had no idea how to “do” Christian television. There were no models, no guide books, no marketing experts to tell us what viewers wanted or would watch. In fact, we weren’t even sure anyone would tune in! All we knew was that God had called us to use the medium of television to be a part of fulfilling His great commission, to “go into all the world and preach the Gospel.” So we began, with one borrowed camera, a shower curtain for a backdrop, two folding chairs — and hearts full of faith that God would bless our efforts.

To our surprise and great joy, people did tune in! At first, just local Christians, but before long others began calling in — people in motel rooms, bars, and homes across the area that needed hope, healing, and salvation. By the end of that year 3,000 people had come to Christ as the result of our little TV ministry, and by 1975 18,000 souls had come into God’s Kingdom!

TBN certainly wasn’t unique at the time. God was pouring out His Spirit on countless individuals, churches, and ministries. Many answered the call to win the lost, disciple new believers, and equip those new converts for the work of the Gospel and this last great Kingdom harvest. Like many ministries, TBN faced its share of opposition, obstacles, hardships, and fiery attacks from the enemy. More than once we were tempted to give up because we felt that what God had called us to do was just too difficult.

But God was faithful! Even in our weakness and temptations to quit, we kept on in faith pouring our time, resources, and prayer into the one local TV station He had given us. By 1983 that one station had become six located in strategic areas across the nation. In another ten years those half dozen stations grew to over 300 stations and affiliates — each one broadcasting the Good News 24/7! In the meantime, God was busy around the world opening up areas that had been closed and even antagonistic to the Gospel. We literally stood and watched God miraculously open awesome doors to foreign lands.

Here is one example: In the former Soviet Union, where Christianity had been outlawed for more than 70 years, TBN was welcomed to open first one, then another Christian TV station. Today six unique TBN affiliate networks in Russia broadcast life-changing programming around the world. And last year TBN Russia even launched a special network, the Shalom Channel, in the heart of Israel, broadcasting the Gospel to millions of Russian Jews who have returned to their homeland.

In a similar way, as we prayed and looked for a way to reach Muslim countries, God miraculously opened doors. TBN helped establish two global networks, one broadcasting in the Arabic language and one in the Farsi language. These networks now reach millions of Arab and Iranian Muslims in the Middle East and around the world.

Today, 40 years after its launch with that one small station, TBN has grown, through simple obedience to God’s voice and by His amazing power, to 24 distinct networks on every inhabited continent, plus nearly 18,000 television and cable affiliates worldwide, fed by over 80 international satellite channels. This is not to mention its global reach via the Internet and TBN Mobile. Most importantly, to date more than 36 million men, women, and children that we know of (only God knows how many more) have come to faith in Christ because of TBN’s worldwide evangelical outreach.

Yes, the world we live in today is far different than it was in 1973. Unrest is heating up in nearly every corner of the earth as never before. Opposition to the Gospel seems to be growing every day. Christian values are being done away with, cultural norms turned upside down, and lifestyles that used to be considered shameful are being celebrated. Shockingly, in some pockets of our beloved America, prayer, Scripture, and sharing one’s faith have been all but outlawed, and in many countries believers are being imprisoned and even killed for their faith in Christ. Sadly, this deteriorating state of the world has caused many Christians to shrink back in fear, and to grow increasingly passive and pessimistic.

But now is not the time to be silenced! What the apostle Paul declared to the early church still holds today: “behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Cor. 6:2). Just as Joshua encouraged the children of Israel to take the Promised Land and to be “strong and of good courage,” let us take courage — God is on our side. Even as darkness increases across the earth, He is raising up people to carry the message of salvation throughout the nations of the world. The earth is filled with people who need to know Jesus, and God is urgently calling His church to be part of this mighty end-time harvest of souls through prayer, partnering with good ministries, and by reaching out to our families, friends, neighbors, and beyond.

The only qualification you need to be a soul winner for Christ is availability. When God called Jan and me to launch TBN, He didn’t do so because we were the most talented and qualified. I often think of 1 Corinthians 1:27, “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.” There were many others with far more skill and resources than we had. He called us because we were willing to be used, regardless of the personal cost and sacrifice. And we had the simple faith to believe that God would lead us every step of the way and empower us to do the work.

Jesus declared that this life-giving message of the Gospel will be preached “in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14). Friend, the end has not come yet. There is still time for you to become a part of God’s Kingdom work, to go beyond the “good enough” — the normal and mundane — and say “yes” to His high calling. It will cost you all you have. But it will be worth the price!

“On May 28, 1973, as TBN took to the air on one small low power station in Orange County, California, we weren’t even sure anyone would tune in to watch us,” recalled TBN’s founder and President Dr. Paul Crouch. “But they did, and today untold millions around the world are being impacted everyday by TBN’s life-changing programming on 24 global Christian networks.”

On Tuesday, May 28th, Dr. Crouch will join co-hosts Matt and Laurie Crouch for a special three-hour Praise the Lord as they welcome four of TBN’s long-time friends and ministry partners — Benny Hinn, Dwight Thompson, Arthur Blessitt, and Jerry Barnard — for a nostalgic look back at the launch and growth of TBN into a global powerhouse.

“These four men of God have stood with us through many years of fruitful ministry,” said Dr. Crouch. “This special night will be a trip down memory lane as we share stories, take a look back at some classic TBN moments, and reminisce about the many miracles we’ve witnessed in this forty year adventure.”

Also joining the Crouches for this extra special Praise the Lord from TBN’s Dallas studio will be musical guests the Martins.

On Wednesday, May 29th, TBN will follow up its nostalgic look back with a powerful Praise the Lord show featuring a “Who’s Who” lineup of ministry, musical, and celebrity guests. Joining host Phil Munsey live from TBN’s New York City studio will be popular TBN ministry partners Joseph and Wendy Prince, and Pastor Joel and Victoria Osteen; comedian and talk show host Steve Harvey; 1970s pop music icon Tony Orlando; legendary contemporary Christian artist Carman; Grammy Award-winning gospel recording artist Cece Winans; and popular New York City pastor and worship leader Donnie McClurkin.

“Since the first night TBN went on the air forty years ago, our signature Praise the Lord program has inspired, challenged, and entertained generations of viewers with talk, music, ministry, and more from a wide variety of impacting guests,” said TBN Vice President Matthew Crouch. “We’re excited about our kick-off week for TBN’s 40th anniversary, and look forward to an entire summer of unforgettable celebrations as we thank God for the miracle of TBN.”

TBN’s Praise the Lord airs May 28th and 29th at 7 p.m. Pacific Time (9 p.m. Central, 10 p.m. Eastern).

This Memorial Day weekend, as millions of individuals and families enjoy picnics, leisure, and time with family, Trinity Broadcasting Network, America’s go-to source for faith and family television, features a lineup of movies and specials designed to honor America’s veterans and war heroes.

“Every American owes a debt of gratitude to the soldiers, sailors, airmen, and other military personnel who have labored and sacrificed in the defense of this great nation,” said TBN founder and President Dr. Paul Crouch. “Here at TBN we have dedicated the Memorial Day weekend to commemorate their actions — and to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.”

Among the programs featured this Memorial Day weekend on TBN are:

Flag of My Father. This powerful movie tells the story of an Army nurse and former POW whose faith in God is put to the test as she battles through personal wounds and family hostility following the sudden death of her father, a Vietnam veteran. Airs May 25 through 27 (check here for broadcast times).

The Conscientious Objector. The remarkable story of devout Christian and military hero Desmond Doss, a World War II medic who earned the Medal of Honor despite refusing to carry a weapon into combat. Convinced that he was a coward, Doss’ fellow soldiers heaped ridicule and abuse on him — until, during a three week period of fighting near Okinawa in 1945, he repeatedly braved enemy fire to save the lives of over 80 of his comrades. A truly unforgettable and impacting movie. Airs May 26 (check here for broadcast times).

League of Grateful Sons. Among the hundreds of thousands of soldiers, sailors, and airmen who returned home after World War II was a remarkable collection of men who made it their life mission to speak God’s providence and the meaning of manhood to the boys who would follow in their steps. Through wartime letters and present-day pilgrimages to the bloody battlefields of their youth, these warriors have spoken, and their thankful children — the League of Grateful Sons — rise to honor their legacy. A moving and memorable film. Airs May 26 (check here for broadcast times).

Medal of Honor: Living Histories. In this impacting documentary, eight recipients of America’s highest military honor recount the heroic actions that prompted them to receive the Medal, and talk about the feelings they have for their country and for the soldiers who fought along side them. Airs May 27 (check here for broadcast times).

The Four Chaplains. An inspiring and true World War II story that recounts how four Army chaplains joined together in selfless heroism to save the men under their spiritual care from the icy North Atlantic after their ship was destroyed by a Nazi U-boat. Airs May 27 (check here for broadcast times).

In addition to these movies and programs, TBN will also air a number of other special shows throughout the Memorial Day weekend, including Heroes: Faces of Freedom, Clancy, Prisoners of Hope, and Saints and Soldiers. For a complete listing check TBN’s daily broadcast schedule.

Dr. Crouch noted that several of TBN’s networks are available at military bases throughout the world, and some select TBN programming is even carried on the Armed Forces Network. “As we honor America’s heroes this Memorial Day, I want to encourage TBN’s viewers to keep our military men and women in prayer,” said Dr. Crouch. “Far from home, often in danger, and making a huge sacrifice for us, they certainly deserve to be lifted up on a daily basis. May God bless them.”

LOS ANGELES (May 20, 2013) — Nearly 25 years ago in the bustling Central American city of San Jose, Costa Rica, Dr. Paul Crouch, founder of Christian television giant Trinity Broadcasting Network, stepped alongside a Latin American businessman and minister who was struggling to get his own Christian television station on the air. The miracle that grew out of that divinely inspired partnership has become part of TBN’s 40-year legacy, as the tiny, fledgling Spanish-language TV station has grown into the world’s largest Latino Christian broadcasting network Enlace, which reaches all of North, Central, and South America, the Caribbean, and parts of western Europe and Northern Africa with 24-hour Christian television for the entire family.

It was 1988 and the late Jonas Gonzalez Sr., Latin America’s Christian television trailblazer, was setting up his first small station in the corner of a spaghetti factory in San Jose, Costa Rica. But he had hit some major obstacles. “The truth is that we were about to lose our frequency before we even got on the air,” recalled Jonas Gonzalez Jr., who now directs Enlace’s global broadcast ministry. “My father had plenty of vision and direction from God, but we lacked the finances and much of the know-how to get the station on the air. That is when my father called Paul Crouch.”

Dr. Crouch, who also had a burden to reach Spanish-speaking people with Christian programming, responded by shipping a small ten-watt transmitter to Mr. Gonzalez that enabled the station to get on the air, following up later with a larger transmitter that provided a more powerful signal. “That first transmitter was so small I could hold it in one hand,” recalled Dr. Crouch, “and it only covered about four city blocks. But sowing that tiny seed helped Jonas save the station and get on the air. The rest, as they say, is history.”

Today Enlace and its EJTV youth network are the most viewed Latino inspirational networks, reaching across the earth on a total of fifteen satellites. Cesar Español, Enlace’s director of U.S. operations, said that since launching in the U.S. around ten years ago, Enlace has exploded in popularity throughout the nation’s Hispanic community. “Our research shows that many of America’s 52 million Latinos are actively reaching out for greater spiritual reality in their lives and families,” said Español. “And each day more of them are tuning in to the life-changing message they find on Enlace and EJTV.”

Español noted that over the past two years Enlace has logged an amazing 1.1 million fans on its Enlace Facebook page, and EJTV is close behind with over 825,000 likes on the EJTV Facebook page.

Earlier this year Enlace launched a free mobile app that gives users of iPhones, iPads, Androids, and other mobile devices real-time access to both networks 24 hours a day. “We realized that fewer people are sitting down to watch traditional television, and more are logging on to the Internet to watch their favorite programs in real time and through video on demand,” said Español. “It has been exciting to see thousands of viewers access this totally free resource, and we anticipate that many millions more viewers across the Americas and around the world will use the Enlace app to access our programming.”

Enlace features church and ministry programs from a wide variety of Christian denominations, the best in inspirational music, lots of shows for kids, movies the whole family will enjoy, and much more. And EJTV has become the channel of choice for millions of Latino youth, with relevant music, talk and reality shows, extreme sports, movies, and other programs designed to encourage teens and young adults in their relationship with God.

“For nearly 25 years TBN has had the privilege of partnering with Enlace to broadcast the best in Spanish-language faith and family programming,” said TBN Vice President Matthew Crouch. “We’re thrilled to see the explosive growth of these two key members of our Trinity Broadcasting Family of Networks, and we’re looking forward to their increasing influence around the world.”

The winner of an amazing seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture, this rare gem from Hollywood’s heyday continues to gain new generations of fans nearly 70 years after its 1944 debut.

Bing Crosby, arguably the most popular actor and singer of the era, garnered a Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of Father Chuck O’Malley, a young and unconventional Catholic priest sent by the bishop to turn around the failing St. Dominic’s church in New York City. But to succeed he must win over the church’s senior priest, the staid and traditional Father Fitzgibbon, played by veteran Irish actor Barry Fitzgerald. Amazingly, Fitzgerald was nominated for both Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor, and won the Academy Award in the latter category.

Father O’Malley’s friendly manner and genuine empathy not only win over his dour and critical superior, but his hands-on approach to the needs of those around him helps to transform the lives of a young runaway and a group of ragtag neighborhood kids in need of direction, and with the aid of friends from his former life he even saves St. Dominic’s from financial ruin.

A legendary master of the American popular song, Bing Crosby used his unmistakeable voice to turn several of the movie’s musical numbers into hits, including “Going My Way,” the haunting Irish lullaby “Too Ra Loo Ra Loo Ral,” and the light-hearted “Swinging on a Star” — which won the Academy Award for Best Song.

“Going My Way is a cinema national treasure,” said TBN Vice President Matthew Crouch, who is himself a veteran movie producer and director. “It’s a film that has it all, from a great story and spectacular cinematography, to stellar acting, unforgettable music, and an inviting warmth that has kept it popular with the public for three generations.”

Mr. Crouch added that its themes of faith, integrity, respect for elders, self-sacrifice, and commitment to the needs of others makes Going My Way a perfect addition to TBN’s archive of family-friendly movies “This is a film that moms, dads, and grandparents will want to share with their children and grandchildren,” he said. “We’re thrilled to add Going My Way to TBN’s movie classics.”

The Academy Award Winning Classic Going My Way airs Saturday May 18 at 8 p.m. Pacific (10 p.m. Central, 11 p.m. Eastern) only on the Trinity Broadcasting Network.

Forty years later TBN stands as the nation’s second largest television broadcast group and the world’s largest religious broadcaster, with 24 distinct global networks and nearly 20,000 television and cable affiliates worldwide, broadcasting a broad range faith-and-family programming 24 hours a day.

TBN announced that it is wrapping up production on a nearly 200-page full-color pictorial history documenting the past 40 years of the network’s monumental growth, an era that parallels the increasing influence of Christian television around the world.

“In many ways TBN’s development mirrors the unique story of Christian television, with all the trials and hardships, along with the successes and victories,” said TBN Vice President Matthew Crouch. “From that first little station my parents, Paul and Jan Crouch, started with nothing more than faith in God and a small team of partners, Trinity Broadcasting Network — and Christian television — have grown to touch every inhabited continent with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ. This intimate and personal look at TBN’s 40 years of broadcast ministry will show you how it all unfolded, and how the miracle of Christian TV continues to change lives.”

Entitled The Call: Forty Years of God’s Miracles, this remarkable pictorial history follows Paul and Jan Crouch from the moment God called them to launch their first TV station, through each significant chapter in TBN’s history, recounting the many mountaintops, valleys, heartaches, and victories that have gone into molding TBN into one of the most impacting Christian outreaches — as well as one of the most influential networks — in the world. From its development in the 1980s and ’90s into the nation’s leading Christian network, through its dramatic global expansion over the past twenty years, to its role today as a leader in digital and online broadcast, TBN has been at the forefront of Christian television and media throughout four decades. This one-of-a-kind book provides readers with a front-row look at how it all happened.

“This full-color book not only documents the history of TBN, with the scores of ministries, international leaders, and other notable people who played a part,” said Matthew Crouch. “It really provides a close-up view in the development of Christian television and media that have had such an impact on our nation and world. We think The Call is a book that will connect with the hearts of many people.”

The anticipated publication date for The Call is May 28, TBN’s 40th anniversary, and the book’s official release will be announced on TBN’s website, www.tbn.org.

And to help friends and viewers join in the fun and excitement the network has launched an online Facebook contest.

Reba Toney, TBN’s director of Social Media, said that participating in the contest is easy. “First of all you have to become a TBN Facebook friend, which gives you access to all the daily news, updates, and information on TBN’s great programming,” she explained. “Then everyday through June 1 we are posting a photo from TBN’s upcoming 40th anniversary book, with a well-known personality, location, or iconic emblem connected with TBN blurred out of the picture. Everyone who guesses the blurred out piece of the photo correctly is entered into a daily and weekly prize drawing — along with a final grand prize drawing at the end of the contest.”

Ms. Toney said that prizes for the contest include exclusive jewelry, art, commemorative gift sets, tickets to TBN’s Holy Land Experience in Orlando, Florida — and even an Apple iPad. “Our goal is to make sure our viewers around the nation are aware of TBN’s incredible Facebook experience, and to alert them to our upcoming 40th anniversary commemorative book.”

That book, entitled The Call: Forty Years of God’s Miracles, has been nearly a year in the making. Scheduled for release in May, The Call includes over a thousand vintage and full-color photos, along with a fascinating narrative that offer an up-close and personal look at the miraculous development of TBN from one small, struggling station in Southern California to a 24-member family of global Christian networks broadcasting life-changing programming around the clock to every inhabited continent.

“The Call has been a special labor of love for me personally,” said TBN Vice President Matthew Crouch, whose parents, Paul and Jan Crouch, launched the network in 1973 and have been its guiding force for the past 40 years. “I am excited to share it with our many friends and partners, as we celebrate TBN’s storied past and look to a future of continued fruitfulness in God’s kingdom.”
